Early Intervention

Small Steps Today, Brighter Possibilities Tomorrow

Every child develops at their own pace. The right support, at the right time, can make a meaningful difference.
At Daffodils Child Development Centre, we support infants and young children from birth to 4 years who have developmental delays, disabilities, or concerns about their development.Through personalised, play-based intervention, we help children build essential skills while equipping parents with practical strategies to support progress at home.

How Can Early Intervention Help Your Child?

Build Essential Skills

Develop communication, movement, learning, play, social interaction, and everyday independence through activities tailored to your child’s needs.

Understand Your Child Better

Recognise your child’s strengths, communication cues, sensory needs, and developmental challenges so you can respond with greater confidence.

Strengthen Connection and Communication

Learn simple ways to encourage interaction, build relationships, and support communication through play and everyday routines.

Feel Confident as a Parent

Gain practical strategies and guidance to support your child’s development at home and make everyday moments meaningful learning opportunities.

Encourage Participation

Help your child participate more confidently in family activities, playgroups, preschool, and community experiences.

Who Can Benefit from Early Intervention?

Early intervention may benefit children who experience:
  • Global Developmental Delay (GDD): Delays across multiple areas of development.
  • Speech and Language Delays: Difficulty understanding language or communicating needs.
  • Motor Delays: Challenges with sitting, crawling, standing, walking, or coordination.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Support for communication, play, interaction, and everyday participation.
  • Neurological or Genetic Conditions: Developmental support tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Other Developmental Concerns: Difficulties with learning, play, sensory processing, social interaction, or self-care.

When Should You Seek Support?

Consider an assessment if your child:
  • Is not meeting developmental milestones.
  • Has difficulty communicating or interacting.
  • Struggles with movement, play, or everyday activities.
  • Has lost skills they previously acquired.
You do not need to wait for a formal diagnosis to seek help. An assessment can help you understand your child’s strengths, identify support needs, and plan the next steps.
