Our Origins & Mission
Built by clinicians, shaped by parents
Daffodils began with a straightforward observation. Families were being sent from one specialist to another, collecting opinions but never a plan. We built a center where the assessment, the diagnosis, the therapy, and the coaching happen in one place, by one team, working from one shared understanding of the child.Leadership & Founder

I am a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, Child Psychologist, and Feeding Specialist with over two decades of experience in child development. I founded Daffodils on a core belief: children must be understood before they are treated, and no family should have to navigate their developmental journey alone.Dr. Jyoshna Tanigundala

A Foundation in Care & Resilience
Growing up in a family of medical professionals, patient care was a constant presence in my childhood. Listening to families in my father’s nursing home taught me early on that treating a child requires viewing them as a whole individual within their family context, not just a diagnosis. My own path was shaped by personal learning differences, requiring me to develop unique strategies to process complex clinical information. That struggle became my greatest asset and signature approach. It taught me how differently every child learns, driving me to graduate fourth in my class at Manipal University and earn the top rank during my Master’s at Osmania University.
Extensive Clinical Leadership (2011–2025)
My early career began at Fernandez Hospitals, focusing on neonatal and pediatric hearing assessments, where I was among the first private practitioners in Hyderabad to introduce Natus Biologic equipment for newborn screening.Between 2011 and 2025, I significantly expanded my clinical leadership by serving as a consultant for some of Hyderabad’s most prominent healthcare facilities for child care. I partnered closely with multidisciplinary medical teams at Rainbow, Aditya, Suraksha, Ankura, Birthplace, Cloud Nine, Paramitha, and Pragnaya. Navigating these dynamic hospital environments and working alongside diverse specialists allowed me to support thousands of families through complex early intervention needs.During this time, I became one of the earliest practitioners to earn the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification from the American Board of Audiology. To ensure I could treat the whole child, I continually expanded my expertise across child psychology, developmental assessments, feeding dynamics, sensory integration, and parent-mediated frameworks—including ESDM, Hanen, PROMPT, OPT, SOFFI, FEES, and DIR Floortime. Spending over a decade in these rigorous clinical settings transformed my perspective, reinforcing a critical truth: communication can never be fully understood by evaluating speech in isolation.
The Daffodils Ecosystem
Early in my practice, I constantly met parents exhausted by a fragmented system—shuttling their children between separate centers for speech, occupational therapy, and behavior support. To change this, I founded Daffodils Pediatric Speech Centre in 2015.Because development does not happen in isolation, we evolved in 2020 into the Daffodils Child Development Center. Today, we are a cohesive ecosystem of over 40 clinicians working under one roof to support children and their families at every stage—from the first assessment through school and adolescence. The young girl who once observed families in her father’s clinic now dedicates her life to helping thousands of children find their voice. That is the journey behind Daffodils, and it is still unfolding.
With warmth,
Dr. Jyoshna Tanigundala

Clinical Philosophy & Standards
Our approach
A detailed look at the clinical foundations of Daffodils — from first observation to long-term autonomy. No opaque jargon, no endless therapy loops.01
Pillar OneAssessment Philosophy
We look at the whole child in their natural play, not just scores on a standardized test sheet. Standardized batteries (Bayley-4, ADOS-2, Vineland-3) are critical, but a child who is dysregulated or anxious will not demonstrate their genuine capabilities in an unfamiliar room.We pair standardized protocols with naturalistic play observations, video recordings submitted by parents from home routines, and detailed developmental timelines gathered over unhurried parent conversations.
02
Pillar TwoDifferential Diagnosis
We never rush to label. A child struggling with vestibular sensory overload may look visibly inattentive or hyperactive. A child with receptive language delays may respond with frequent emotional meltdowns because they cannot comprehend complex requests.Accurate differential diagnosis systematically rules out auditory processing, vision issues, sensory defensiveness, or environmental stressors before applying lifelong diagnostic labels. Precision first prevents unnecessary treatments.
03
Pillar ThreeGoals Set With Families
Goals are written in the language of daily family life, not clinical jargon. Instead of documenting "improving bilateral motor coordination by 20%", our goal is defined as "sitting safely at the dining table with siblings and unbuttoning school uniform trousers independently."Every therapeutic outcome must translate immediately to lower family friction, happier meal times, smoother bedtime transitions, and school participation.
04
Pillar FourHow Progress Is Measured
We eliminate guesswork. Progress is measured using standardized progress tracking sheets, baseline video comparisons stored securely in the patient vault, and scheduled formal re-evaluations every 12 weeks.Caregivers receive visual progression reports showing communicative frequency, sensory self-regulation thresholds, and fine motor grasp mastery, allowing parents to see measurable change week over week.
05
Our Trust GuaranteeWhen a Child Is Not Progressing as Expected
If expected milestones are not emerging after 8–10 weeks, we do not simply double session hours. Our full multidisciplinary team convenes for a formal Clinical Case Review. We reassess sensory baselines, investigate undiagnosed medical factors (such as sleep apnea, pediatric GI discomfort, or hearing shifts), adapt therapeutic modalities (for instance, pivoting from verbal prompt methods to augmentative AAC or deep sensory regulation), and have an unhurried, transparent discussion with parents.
Accountability over commerce: You are never kept in therapy that isn't demonstrating functional gain.
