Concerns we see most often

Common concerns

Start with what you are noticing. A diagnosis is not needed to begin.

Communication

Child not responding to name call, not maintaining eye contact, not pointing to needs, not calling us mum and dad, not following instructions consistently.

Speech and language

My child has not yet begun to talk, is difficult to understand, repeats sounds, or does not appear to follow multiple instructions.

Feeding and eating

Mealtimes are difficult, my child gags or refuses most foods or has not progressed to solids.

Behaviour and regulation

Meltdowns, aggression, routine issues, settling issues.

Social interaction

My child prefers playing alone, does not make eye contact, difficulty interacting with other children.

Sensory processing

Over reacting to sounds, texture, touch, over seeking for movement or pressure.

Movement & motor skills

Is slow to sit, crawl, walk, has trouble holding a pencil, using scissors, or fastening buttons.

Learning and attention

Trouble reading, writing, ADHD, spelling, remembering instructions, or paying attention.
Not sure which of these fits?
That is common, and it is exactly what a comprehensive assessment is for.
